The most famous Becker of all, even went for some micarta goodness! Anxiously awaiting some BK2 goodness down under!

Welcome! Keep track of how many times people say that Paul Hogan line, and then buy your second Becker, the 9. This way you can at least give them the proper response.
Enjoy the 2, it's a great user blade. I prefer it to the ESEE5, for camping.

Congrats on the BK2, you won't be disappointed.

Then how are you typing?!? Anyway, that's too much information!

Like this, except way faster, far more precise and with much more manly hands :D

I've been lurking on Becker sub forum & another one which I wont mention but my username reveals my favourites. When I came across Becker forum, saw their line of knives especially the BK2, I was hooked. I specifically like the fact that it can be personalised by adding micarta, stripping blade etc. I was looking for an all rounder knife. When I finally was ready to order all the reputable dealers were backorderd. Also being in Aus I was lookin for a dealer that offered reasonable yet reliable shipping costs. I've been 'patiently' waiting for a specific dealer to get some more stock in. Last night I logged on & saw they just got some more BK2's stock in so I jumped without hesitation. Didn't want to miss out & wait another month to find out what it is about the mighty BK2 thats got everyone hooked. They've been flyin off the shelves like Guyon's cookies!
Yep so real soon I be sippin black kool aid. And yes I will most certainly be posting pics when I get it.
One step closer to getting Beckerhead status!

Hey Foxx,

Yeah I was tossed between the Esee 5 & BK2. Both are great blades, or seem to be since I haven't handled either but have done extensive reading on both.
Personally I like the extended pommel which is more practical than glass breaker. Also like the ergonomics of the legendary Becker scales. I went ahead & got micarta too.
In all honesty the Esee sheath & coating is better but this doesn't make the knife.
Esee also has forever warranty but Becker wont leave you in the lurch either. Heck, it's 1/4 inch thick 1095 cro van & it will be here long after you & I.
Then there's value, BK2 with micarta & shipping still adds up to less than Esee 5.
I got the micarta coz I wanted to save on shipping.
At first I want to experience the knife with grivory then add micarta.
Eventually strip the blade since there's nothing like a nekkid BK2 with micarta!
