After a lot of searching and stupid questions. I pulled the trigger on one of Stephen D. Liley's Coal Creek Forge tomahawks. I have the feeling that the anticipation of its arrival is going to be diving me nuts.

so it got here today, and well the pic's dont do it justice, it came with the handle that was on it in the pics he sent me and an extra for WHEN I break this one. I gave it a little work out on some fir, I live in western Montana no hard wood thats not in some ones yard. Split like a champ for the size, did every thing I could think to throw at it, wile in town, well and i have fallen in love with it. ill try to find the camera so i can put up some pic's of it "at work" (read screwing off) as i can.

Can someone message me with his contact information? I've seen a lot of his work praised on here, but could never find a website or anything of that nature.

Thanks!

Brad

Well, I hope you guys are happy.

I find out about Stephen Liley's work this afternoon at 1200hrs, and I've placed an order with him and paid for it by 2315hrs.

I poured over every thread that's mentioned "Coal Creek Forge" or "Stephen Liley" - thanks. Most of the pictures have been taken down/broken in the older threads, but did that stop me? Nope. I just searched higher and lower. Vaunripped, your hawk was the last straw, and it was on the first page! I now have a nearly identical bearded hawk on the way, with a slightly longer hammer poll.

Please post pictures of yours soon - they'll help tide me over while I wait for mine.

Brad
