Its en rt. Not sure ill like it as much as the pm2 but I had to see based on how many people claim it's their favorite folder.

Came across this video-Watch "Fake Spyderco Military - What To Look For" on YouTube
https://youtu.be/f0hY1ySdtIQ

What do you guys think-is this a fake? My gut says no, but its increasingly hard to tell.

If you ordered from a supporting dealer here you will have very little to worry about.

Order from a reputable dealer and no worries.....and that doesn't mean you can't order off line or even on eBay.

But, IS that a fake? lot of debate in the comments. Then I watch THIS video and it looks like the Chinese one is better made in some ways?

Watch "Spyderco Military Chinese Clone Wars Fake Counterfeit Comparison" on YouTube

You will love it.
lmk which folder you carry the most, Millie or P-Mil.

Spyderco uses manufacturing facilities in lots of different places including China, and all of these facilities produce quality products. One problem with a fake is that they don't have to rely on quality materials to sell their products. The Military comes in S30V steel or better, and Spyderco uses a very good heat treat. A fake can use a poor steel and a poor heat treat and what can the buyer do about it? The screws may be soft and strip out easy, other things such as this. So on the surface the product might look good but the genuine Spyderco product is good in every way.

The Mille in the YT video is indeed a fake. He does another video where he compares it to a real Mille.

If you buy from a reputable dealer, like those on this forum, there's little to worry about.
Here they are - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1089879-Paid-Dealer-Members-List-(Updated-7-30-15)

If you bought off an auction site, it's most probably a fake.

Amazon. It arrived. Love it. I THINK its real. if someone made this good of a fake...I guess they could save money by putting in Lesser steel/parts

but I would still be amazed at the attention to detail and the fit and finish

Do not automatically trust Amazon.

~ pay attention to who the knife is really coming from

~ even if it's Amazon, it's not uncommon for an unscrupulous customer to buy a 'real' one then turn around and return a 'fake' which Amazon unwittingly simply puts back on the shelf to be passed onto the next customer.

Post some pics especially of the liner lock, the spine spacer, the edge of the G10, and the box label.
And, if the letter inside mentions anything other than 'Military' ... uh oh!

I guess they could save money by putting in Lesser steel/parts
Exactly.

Yeah, they're getting real good at it. Actually, for the real price of the fake, it's a good deal.
*oops, did I say that out loud?*

Enjoy!

I hear you. Just say amazon.com llc.

will do. The millies are made in CO though right? I guess the Chinese only need one.

Lock shouldn't look shiny. I think it's titanium.
That looks like a good bad ass Millie to me bro!!
Enjoy!!

The time to question if the thing is fake is usually BEFORE laying out the cash, especially the 3 digit amounts.

That said, glad you love your new toy!

That's the advantage of Amazon.

It's kinda tough to tell if its fake without handling it, right?
