Just ordered my first RAT!

I just found myself getting interested in putting together a SHTF kit, and some friends pointed me to RAT and I can tell I'm gonna be an instant fan.

I've been back and forth all evening over which to order first.

I want the RC-5 SERE for my SHTF knife, but will hold out of the Kydex sheath.

That left me debating over the IZULA and the RC-4....

Since deer season is right around the corner, I went ahead and ordered the RC-4 tonight :thumbup:

I can tell it won't be long before I get an IZULA though... that thing is calling my name!
 
RC-4 is a great way to start. Great all purpose size. I am waiting to see whether I like the RC-3 or RC-4 the best for deer field dressing. My guess is that they will both do just fine.

Welcome to the Rat Addicts forum, you WILL get that Izula... can you hear it callin your name...? :)

Wonderful choice, purchasing a RC blade, customer service and quality like no other. RC-4 is a great all around woods/bush knife, and an excellent addition to any SHTF kit, as is the RC-5 and Izula, with the RC-3 as a back up. :D

Soon you will start twitching every time a new model is announced, hinted at or rumored.

Then the dreams of hot women, raw bacon, sheep and Mrs. Shotty's cakes (the ones she bakes) starts.

Then you'll start figuring out how to explain why going on vacation to the Amazion to enjoy surviving in the jungle is a good idea.

I agree with most of that, except the sheep and Mrs. Shotgunner part. Speaking of sheep; where has CCR been?!
