Just Ordered My First Swamp Rat and Scrapyard Knives!

I just finished placing an order for a Scrapivore (w/ Mashed Cat Kydex), a 7-11 and a RatMandu! I can't wait until they get here! Now I just need to find a Kydex bender for my RatMandu and 7-11. Well, that and I need to find someone to buy a Junglas and Izula! Ack! :yawn:

How is everyone carrying the Scrapivore? Mostly neck or belt or what? I am thinking neck is going to work well for me and sometimes maybe just putting it in my pocket.

I hear these knives come with pretty thick bevels so we can do whatever we want with them. Will a pair of diamond sticks for my SharpMaker work with this steel? I am used to softer steel like ESEE and Becker's 1095. What's a good profile or do you guys just convex them?

Hmmm, I wonder if I could get one to work with a spare Kahr CM9 mag?
 
Wow, congrats on picking up some excellent blades.

I have a Scrapivore with the Mashed Cat Outfitters sheath. Mine is part of a survival kit but I do sometimes pack it around... it is too nice to leave hidden in a box. Right now I just pocket carry in the sheath. I plan to make a sheath retention lanyard so I can draw the Scrapivore from a pocket one handed. Also thought about putting a Tek-Lok on the sheath since it holds the knife pretty well or maybe trying one of those MercHarness lanyards.

And speaking of the Mashed Cat sheath -- it is some great workmanship. Definitely a great deal, and a worthy match to a Scrapyard knife.

Congrats on the score I love mine, the junglas is a great knife too, you will not have any problems selling it off. The izzy two is better than the one but still has a following. As well.

711 and RMD are very nice blades. You be happy with both.
