just ordered my holy grail. Alaskan Guide 110!!!!

Went ahead and placed my order with Cabela! Been trying to decide between this and the rubber Vangaurd Alaskan Guide for many years. Finally just jumped in on the 110! Can't wait to share my thoughts when it arrives. Any input from current oeners of any of the Buck Cabelas knives would be great. Gonna be waiting over a week for its arrival. Excited!
 
I have been looking at the Alaskan for a while...gotta get some extra scratch together one of these days!!!! Please post an update when it comes in with some pics!!!!

Welcome to the Buck Forum! You are going to love that AG 110, I bought one for the 2005 hunting season. That knife surpassed my expectations ten fold. It is my sheath knife EDC and one of my all time favorite Buck knives.

Sounds great guys! I was unaware of all the steels Buck used in the 110 but going through posts on here shows they really went all out. This will be my 2nd knife in S30V but my experience with BOS heat treats tells me this should outperform my Gerber Stag. I'll do an initial impressions post when it arrives and follow that with a review once I've edc'd it awile. Great to h

I have 6 alaskan guide knives,the rubber handle vanguard is a heck of a hunting knife,it just keeps going.My 110 alaskan guides are nice,I bought 3 stag handled models 2 safe queens and a user.I used the ag 110 a lot and it never failed to amaze me.
 
I have three Alaskan Guide knives. I have the 110, the Vanguard and the Caping knife. Extremely happy with all three. Beautiful knives.
