what should i do with it first?

im thinking woodcraft stuff, maybe food prep. what else can i do to "break it in"? :D
 
What ever task that requires a knife next. I just got mine yesterday with a set of scales. I used it to clean out grout joints and cut open bags of grout today. Also cut the tube from an old can of great stuff foam to reuse, and a zip tie.
 
Mine came on Thursday. First thing was a good stropping. It was sharp, but not quite where I like them.

So far, only mundane tasks.
 
thanks guys, im gonna do all those things. i did order the scales, but i just have to try the paracord wrap 1st. about the most mundane thing i do is open a can of skoal longcut straight, or 2 everyday. now, i will use the knife instead of my thumbnail.:D
im gonna research "stropping" unless one of you can give me the quick rundown on it. i can get any of my knives to cut a few hairs, but only one time(by accident im sure) did i get a blade so sharp the hairs actually jumped off my arm before the blade touched them.
