It's got a history of conflicting reviews. Many people have reported very weak linerlocks on their Fox folding k-bits.

I asked a similar question a long time ago.

Thanks for the reply, I'm looking for a close up of the liner lock to see how thick it is and what might be the complaints of some owners
Thanks
Dan

Linerlock thickness isn't really that much of an issue if the lock is design correctly. The Military has a thin linerlock yet is rated as heavy duty. I think Sal (Spyderco president) said the Military is rated at 400 PSI before it gives. The prob with the Fox karambit is that some consumers got some that you can disengage by a light spine whack to your palm.

The Fox Karambit has been out a few years so you think they resolved the QC issues?

I guess it's possible. The company itself is pretty good I think. I guess you'll let us know when you get it. I'm anxious to read your review of it since I wanted to buy the same knife at one point in time.

Got the knife today and I'm very happy with the quality of the knife and deployment.
The lock up and linerlock are excellent and the bad reviews of the linerlock are false
The lock up is very solid and the weight is not noticeable in the pocket
I got the aluminum model because it comes out of the pocket much faster then the ruff G-10

I don't think it's really fair to unilaterally deem all the negative reviews false. If I ordered one tomorrow and got a janked up liner, would your review be false?

Especially for a knife in the $130 range, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility that there are quality variations or bad batches if the manufacturer wasn't careful. Seeing "everyone is wrong but me" is sort of my cue to believe other more level-headed opinions, as negative as they may be.

The poor review was from a test of slamming a folding curved blade against a hard surface aNd it took three attempts on a forward designed curved blade to fail and why it was a ridiculous attempt to damage the knife, not to mention it survived the first two slams.
All I can say is that it's a high quality knife and my new favorite, very sharp too!
