So I have to say for the money, I highly recommend spyderco to new knife buyers as well as people looking to upgrade from their cheap knives. You get a lot for your money and they're solid knives. I was a benchmade guy when I knew little about knives but knew I really enjoyed them. When I got my first spyderco that all changed. I currently own a manix 2 xl, a military, a salt 1 and a caly 3 cf. I'd say 9/10 times I'm carrying the manix 2 xl (if I'm carrying a spyderco, I have a ton of more high end knives as well). Next i'd carry the caly 3 cf, then the military. I only carry the salt 1 when need be, its got a fully serrated blade and the steel I really only use when fishing salt water (duh!). I love the blade shape of the manix 2 xl, the lock and the handle (so I love the whole knife). The military I really like the acute point and the handle, but id love it more if it was tip up. So... I ordered a paramilitary. I hope I like it! I also ordered a native 5 because ive admired them for a long time. I got the camo handle/satin blade, 120$.

Reading the post I was about to say if you didn't order a PM2 then your collection is looking pretty bleak! :P Great choice. One of my PM2s always finds its way into my pocket half the time. It will not disappoint.

Can anybody recommend a quality low rider pocket clip with three screw holes for the PM2? Really the only knife that's gotten through my fingers that ive wanted was a d'allara drop point, if I could find one NIB i'd jump on it. I also need to get another delica.

Not sure about clip...but I have a new Delica I was going to post for sale if you need another.

I'm hoping it's here by Friday. Guys that have the PM2 and military, which do you prefer?
I prefer the Military for the longer blade and handle. Slim and light to carry it's true size isn't noticable, IMHO.

The Para 2 is a great knife in it's own right. But I have a 3.5" blade knife from another manufacturer I much prefer over it.

My PM2 still gets carried on occasion as a second knife if I think I'll need a slicer. Or if my Military is filthy and dull from work and I am too lazy to clean it.😀

The Military sees far more carry as it compliments my true EDC without duplicating blade length.

I'm PM2 by a slight margin. As stated the Military's blade length to weight can't be beat but I find I carry it more seasonally (winter) as the Millie can be used with fairly thick gloves. The PM2 is also glove friendly and I find it's a slightly lighter shorter more comfortable carry than the Military. That said, I carry my Sage 2 way more than both the PM2 and Military combined. You'll love your PM2, one of the best all around knives out there - and on days you're not feeling it the Native will serve you well.

I have a few Millies and a few PM2s......tough to decide which to carry as both are simply amazing knives!
I love my 3 Millies.....Cruwear with Putman scales, S30v coated blade with camo scales and my fav, a Ti Millie.
I have 5 Para 2s that are awesome!! The one thing that gets the PM2s more pocket time is that amazing lock!!! It makes a great knife even more fantastic!!!!! It's a flicker's dream!!!!
Pic of Cruwear Millie and s30v satin PM2 with Putman Ti scales and s30v coated with Putman G10 scales.
Love all of them!!!
Enjoy yours and pics when it arrives!!!

I'd suggest Resilience to take the role of tip up Military. If you like pointy tip, a little bit of regrind will be enough.
Some people did that and quite happy with the result.

OP, I'm also a fan of the Manix 2 XL, my favorite Manix by far. I'm not much into deep carry clips, though my XL is one folder that definitely warrants one, carries so much nicer, doesn't interfere with the grip when using the knife, and gives the fingers something to grip to make one handed closing easy.

The Military rocks, I have a standard Millie and also this one I'm carrying today. You would like a tip up Millie :)

I think you will enjoy the Para2, I have 6 of them. I have tried a deep carry clip on a Para2 and it just didn't work for me, mainly 'cos it seemed intrusive when holding/using the knife. Just plain uncomfortable, though YMMV.
Buy a deep carry clip, and if you don't like it so much on the Para2, I think you will on the XL.

A tip up millie with cf scales would be awesome. I'd definitely carry it more often. The only thing I've done to it so far is changed the back spacer out to stand offs

This is the sharpest and smoothest deploying know I've bought yet. Perfect in size and weight. I expected it to be smaller but was hoping it wouldn't be and its not. It's a perfectly scaled down millie, I actually like the whole thing better then the millie.

Ok. I noticed a little bit of play side to side after I switched the clip around. The non lock side pivot screw was tight as hell. The left side was finger tight. I took both out, cleaned off the thread lock as best I could and re locked both. Finger tight on both sides produced no play (using the t 10 1/4" bit of course). Anything past that caused a tight action. Normal?

Ok ok... this is in the top three knives I EDC. I should say the three knives in number one spot as I love them all. The Paramilitary 2, the Manix 2 XL and my CF Seb 21. Yup, those three. But it will probably be the most carried of the three now... it's the perfect size, weight. I love how it locks into my hand as my caly3 cf does. But it's got a blade like my military that I love. I'm glad I didn't go with the black handles, although a black on black like my military would have been sweet, but the non coated blade with the camo scales looks sweet and it's different from anything else I own. I finally got the knife dialed in and I love it.

There are a few different low rider clip makers/sellers on eBay. I have gotten several and have been very pleased.
