A new emerson mini cqc-7 with the black finish and the wave feature. I wanted the half serrated but the only one in stock was a plain edge. Close enough for now, maybe buy the half serrated later and sell the plain. Couldn't pass on it though. I have wanted one for so long and in a few days I should have it. Got it from beckwiths blades. Good price I thought ($110). The wait is going to be horrible. Thanks for all the info in the last few months. Anyone have one to talk about until I get mine? Maybe pics too.
 
i would prefer the PE to partial serrations myself esp. on a short blade like the mini-'7, betcha like it though, the mini-'7 is a pretty good little knife.
 
Where did you buy it from? It would be a good idea to call them and find out if they really have them in stock. Many stores takes orders because they anticipate them to be in stock, but they don't know when. That is a good price though.
 
Actually I did call them and asked them if they really had one in and this was the very last mini they had in any configuration. I ordered over the phone just to be sure again and they said it should be here in a few days. I couldn't believe it myself at first but just got lucky I guess. Should I be worried about getting a fake? Is Beckwiths Blades a reputable dealer?

Beckwith's is very reputable. They are a true store front retailer located in Houston. I have bought seven or eight knives from them because I like to hold knives in my hand, etc before I buy. LC is the owner. They are good folks.

Crap, don't have the money now since I just ordered one yesterday. I don't really trust e-bay anyway. Too many people scamming and too many fakes out there. Heard a lot of horror stories about fake emersons that looked very real or selling used emersons as new. Really hope that yours is good though. If it is I may consider buying from that razors edge place. Let me know and thanks for the heads up.
 
Like I said I got mine last week, I wouldn't recommend anyone unless I have dealt with them. He had five now he has two left 2006 Emerson mini cqc-7b black waved (teflon I believe)
