Not sure if handle is made from Cherry Wood or Cocobolo,
Paul Bos (retired) was in charge of the heat treating department and developed all of the heat treatment methods used by Buck. Marketing never misses an opportunity and Buck trademarked the BOS flame logo and puts the logo on higher grade knives but every knife, standard or custom, are heat treated using methods developed by Paul Bos...... Blade Steel 425M? 420HC? BOS Heat Treat on either?
Thanks Bert! The handle is made from laminated birch wood stained with a dye that is called Cherry Wood or Cocobolo.
