So my A1X just came in today from DLT trading. I noticed some weird marks (pic included) . I thought it was oil residue, so I fully cleaned the knife and the marks were still there. I just want to make sure these are normal, I actually like imperfections on knives. But due to the knife being a laminated steel, I just want to make sure the lamination or the knives integrity has no problems. pic >>> https://imgur.com/gallery/vLZkmI4

I doubt there is any problem with lamination; those marks appear to be superficial. Just use the heck out of it, that's a great looking blade. If there's a lamination problem, Fallkniven will fix it.

If it worries you enough DLT will swap it out for you!! Their customer service is top notch!

It looks like a rub mark to me. I encountered the same sort of mark on an A1x after touching blade up on a Spyderco Gauntlet. It's definitely not a structural problem, but you should not encounter that on a new knife. If it doesn't bother you, use it and enjoy the knife.

The marks don’t bother me but the transition between the laminated steels kinda does tbh. I’ve got a couple other laminated steel blades and the transition line is perfectly smooth... On your pic it looks like you could feel the transition with your fingernail - is that correct? I wonder if other A1Xs look like that too??

You can't feel it. I actually love the look tbh.

I think the lamination lines are normal, if that's what the OP is talking about. It looks like the photo was over sharpened, so the line just looks deeper. Here's a photo of an A1x I own before I had it reground to a full flat grind.
