I just got my first Busse today, a brand spankin new Killa Zilla II. This is THE KING of all blades. I have owned some big knives before but man this thing feels like a sharpened sledge hammer when you hold it. it makes my dogfather and M9 feel like butter knives in comparison.

I took it into the back yard today for some testing and I am very very impressed. First, the KZ II with the factory edge is not a brush clearer, it is very front heavy and does not have the ideal blade shape for clearing foliage. Also it does not excel at cutting small branches because the blade thickness and weight cause it to have more of a hammering effect than a slicing effect.

However when it comes to hard woods WOW the chunks do fly. I've never had anything that comes even close to the chopping ability the KZ II has on large pieces of wood. My waki runs circles around it on small branches and brush but the KZ stands alone for blasting through thick wood.

Also I didn't realize just how massive the handle is. I can easily get one and a half hands on it. I para cord wrapped it to give it some extra grip because of the smoothness of the micarta. The handle feels extremely sturdy wrapped and I am confident it will never slip. I feel like I could kill an elephant in one stroke. :D

Overall I am very impressed by the pure power this blade possesses. It just feels amazing in hand. The only thing I am disappointed in is the sharpness but that can be easily fixed. I need to get someone to re profile the edge as I feel it is currently too thick to really bite into wood at full capacity.

Now, you need to try it with a convexed edge!

I did the edge on mine.

I have a Green/ Machined Tan Canvas version.

They are a chopping beast for sure.

I have the same one :)

except mine is not naked

is the wrap the same material as the cord coming out of the holes in the handle?
