Great knife! I have two:cool: , one is at Kershaw being resharpened.

I am now saving up for the 1630TiZDP Cyclone that will be coming out before Christmas I hope!

Is that your only Kershaw? It won't be your last:D

Jeremy

Thanks! Im really excited about it.....however I just did a search on the forum about the ZDP Leeks and came up with some surprising information on the sharpness of the blades! I guess yours was one of the ones that had to be sent back for sharpening....hopefully I wont have to do that. Ill post some pics of my own when it arrives.

But no, its not the first Kershaw I have owned.
I have a Chive and an E.T. that I bought this summer at the Blade show in Atlanta. GREAT knives!!!

Kershaw has extraordinary customer service! I sent a Cyclone in because the On/Off Switch was broken, and they replaced the ENTIRE knife! Wow! Most companies would tell me the switch wasn't covered under warranty, or imply that I broke it. Not with Kershaw. And they shipped my knives back Priority Mail and carefully packaged. I just love Kershaw so much because they treat customers the way they would want to be treated, and they love knives as much as we do! Can't say enough good things...Gonna start billing Thomas W for the advertising :D

Congats, it is a great knife. If it comes dull they will sharpen it for you and have it back quickly. Use it in good health.

I agree with NYG fan, and Jason. Kershaw has come a long way from the days when they used soft steel, but good designs. Now they are using great designs and the best steels they can get their hands on. Not to mention Ken Onion.

Thomas has been a great guy for keeping us informed, taking care those of us that had troubles, and even putting up with the occasional wandering troll. Some would have gotten discouraged and not came back. He is a busy guy after all.

Well, much success to Thomas. We need CEO's like him driving these companies. Guys that are Knife people just like us and not accountants. Expect more good things from Kershaw! Joe L.

Just FYI: Thomas isn't the CEO of Kershaw. If I remember correctly, he's the VP of Marketing or some such.

I should have been more clear. I'm hoping for his success as I think he'd really take the company in a way that would benefit us ELU's.

It did sound like I was stating he was a CEO. I thank you for pointing this out.Regards, Joe

CEO......hmmmmmm...I'm liking the sound of that! I'm putting that into my 3 year plan.;) My offical title reads National Sales Manager(for now).

I'll continue to put in my input where it is needed, thanks for the kind words everyone.

Kershaw will continue to evolve into a company that feeds the wide variety of different knife buyers that are out there worldwide. We also will continue to focus more and more on Made in the USA. products. Over 80% of Kershaw sales are from products made in our Tualatin factory here in Oregon. It is one of our objectives to increase our USA production even further.

What a refreshing statement to hear from a manufacturer these days, normally it's the other way around.

Kershaw sets a fine example for many others to follow in areas such as quality, customer satisfaction, diversity of product and keeping it here at home. Kudos!

Wow...these have all be very pleasing and reassuring posts to read. Im sure that if there are any problems with the knife I can just send it back for resharpening or whatever.... Im also glad to hear that Kershaw is moving in the right direction with respect to their manufacturing.
Thanks Thomas!

I'm another Kershaw believer too! I had some little "issues" with my ZDP Leek, and Thomas went above and beyond to make it right for me, I'm still blown away by what I received from him(maybe I'll post a pic or two). It's very refreshing to see a company like Kershaw go out of it's way to make and keep it's customers happy. They should consider themselves very lucky to have an employee like Thomas watching their interests. Thanks again!
