I like the handle shape and the suregrip scales. The fit isn't perfect though, as the scales have a lip that hangs over the edge of the metal just a little bit. I'm thinking about doing a trim job. Ideally, I wish it had a slight palm swell, but it fits my hand pretty well. Best of all, I got it on sale for $72.00! Anyone else use KOA knives, and what do you like/not like about them.

I've got a couple, and they are pretty nice. The filet knives are very nice. Wicked sharp out of the box, great shape, length, and handle. My only grip is that the sheath it came with kinda sucked. I'm going to make one for it when I get a chance. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another of their knives if it caught my eye.

I got a set with the bone handles. Fit isnt perfect.... they are expensive though.....hmmm

I bought a couple of KOA fillet knives at Blade Show this year and have been very pleased with them so far.

Congrats on your purchase.

I still cant get over the fact that they are called Knives of Alaska...they arent made here in Alaska, I know that.

i think they can do a better job on the heat treat. In my opinion the D2 steel that they use is way underhardened.
