Just picked up my 0550!

Hey guys,

I purchased a Gen 1 0550 from Dave on Monday and I just picked it up. This thing is great! It'll be my new EDC instead of my 0350. This is my third ZT from Dave and I think 7th knife from him overall. Thanks for the quick shipping Dave! I'm at work now, so I'll post up some pics when I get home tonight since I can't seem to figure how to do it from my phone.

Is there anything in particular that you like about the 0550 over the 0350 or is this more of a trial period for it?
 
Right now it's more of a trial period. What I do like about the 0550 over the 0350 is that it is not an assisted knife, and that there is only a scale on one side of the knife. The scales of the 0350 were damaging my pants pocket and it made it a little tougher to get the knife in my pocket. The 0550 just slips right in since the Ti side is against the fabric. While I like the conveniance of the Speed Safe, I prefer a manual opener or a flipper, over an assisted knife. ZT's tend to be more on the bigger side of knife size, at least in my eyes, and I don't like drawing any more attention to my knives in public than I have to. A manual opener allows me to be more discreet when I open the knife in public.

I'm also not a huge fan of a recurve style blade. It makes sharpening the knife harder for me.

I've always liked the design of that handle scale. Something about that pattern makes me smile. I need to save up and pick up a 0550 already.

By the way, that 0200 looks huge!
