Hey guys,

Figured I spend enough time lurking and start making posts already and introduce myself. Former NY'er, currently living in Atlanta, GA. My wife and I love it here in the south and never want to go back. I work for a company called Goinggear.com, we sell high end camping gear, survival equipment, and specialize in knives and LED flashlights, and we will be at BLADE Show this year, with a total of 8 booths. So come and say what's up if any of you are going.

I picked up my first ZT/Kershaw/Kai USA knife and it's a ZT 0350KW, with the stone wash finish. This is the first knife in S30V steel and assisted opener and lemme tell ya, I cannot put it down. For a $119 knife, it feels a ton more expensive. I absolutely love it and I'm hooked, and I am eyeing the ZT Hinderer. Anyone looking to get into ZT, I would most definitely would look into picking up this knife.

PS. I use a Lanskey sharpening system to sharpen all my blades. Is it possible to do the slight recurve on this ZT with it?

Give the Lansky a try and see how it does. I am thinking that it will likely sharpen most of the blade but leave a spot where it didn't do such a great job (at least it will on a relatively deep recurve, the 350 may not have much of an issue). If it diesn't work out great, get an extra of your finishing stone and some silicon carbide (or you can do it on concrete, but, it doesn't turn out as well) and round the edges. that should allow the stone to flow through the recurve assuming it isn't too wide. I use a 1/2 Edge Pro Stone with rounded edges to sharpen recurves.

Yea, I'll give it shot once the blade gets dull, which is probably not anytime soon. Someone told me to use the corner of the stones on the recurve, that way its touching the entire edge.

Glad to hear about you're purchase ZT truely makes an excellent product for a pretty fair price the 350 is a great model and just about the perfect EDC size.

welcome to the forums.

i should be getting a 0350 in a trade, glad to hear you like it

Just recently picked up the 350 and have to agree with the OP, great knife.

Whetrock- I have to agree with you- Just about the perfect EDC size :D

Whetrock - Exactly my thoughts. That's what drew me to the 0350 is because the size. The other folders were cool, but I know I would have gotten tired of lugging it around, since I already have a ton of stuff plus a CZ75 and 28 rounds. It's good to see a company that listens to it's customers and feedback and make a knife according to what people want.

PS...Any news on the Hinderer flipper and how much it'll cost?

[QUOTE=BourneYea, I'll give it shot once the blade gets dull, which is probably not anytime soon.

If you keep your 0350 sharp and don't let it get dull it'll be a Lot easier to sharpen.... Touch ups are easy. Starting from dull is Not.
