That's a really good looking one! I have a laminated but I need to get it sighted in. My M38 is dead on so I keep shooting it when I want to rattle the windows in my house and send all the livestock running and dogs cowering in their houses:eek:

I have an arsenal refurbished Russian M-44 that's in real nice shape, but not quite as nice as the stock on yours.
My Hungarian M-44 is almost as nice as my arsenal refurbished Russian M-44, but it's in completely un-refurbished condition.

My favorite condition M-44 is my Polish variant, it's a 1953 new/never issued gun (not arsenal refurbished). It looks like a gun that one just purchased brand new from the store. Paid more then I'd ever thought to pay for an M-44, but the condition demanded it :)
 
1946 Russian with all matching numbers, super clean pick of the litter from Big 5 for $74.00...I just picked up some Bear Brown 7.62x54R 185gr bimetal FMJ non-corrosive...as soon as I get a weekend without rain then I can go have some fun...might have to go grab another!
 
Anyone have any experience with Finnish Mosin's and either the Polish ammo sold by AIM or the Hungarian? The ammo just came today and the match is tomorrow. Oh boy, I hope they let me take a few sighters. lol

I never could warm to such an ugly firearm. Sad, too, as ammo for them is dirt cheap right now. .303 Ammo is way more expensive:grumpy:
How is recoil and muzzle blast on your little baby?
 
That's really lovely, Sweet, no matter what the price. At $74, it is outstanding. Nice buy.
