Hello all, I've been using and carrying my delica4 for a few years, today decided to try out the pm2. I've come to love vg10 it takes the sharpest edge of all my knives the easiest how does sv30 compare in ease of sharpening? Also this pm2 is my first compression lock how does it compare to the delicas lock back in terms of strength, ease of opening and closing one handed, and dirt and grit resistance? Honestly my delica is my favorite pocket knife and has done me well I have no complaints, just wanting to try something new. I only wish I could get this pm2 with orange handles like my delica so I can find it when I drop it.. any ideas on perhaps painting orange? Any way Thanks Sal for making amazing knives.

SV30 is a little more time consuming to sharpen, but stays sharper longer. The compression lock is a great lock, and imho far stronger then the back lock. As a righty, I find it pretty easy to use one handed. BTW, I think there are 3rrd party handles in orange for it, but don't quote me.

Screwdriver, in videos I watched it seems the pm2 flicks open faster than the delica does the compression lock allow flicking open/closed? Any other differences from delica4?

Skyhorse, thanks it sure is visually appealing

Yeah, you can flip the PM2 open and closed.....you might have to adjust the pivot to your liking.

BladeHQ occasionally has Allen Putnam's replacement scales in stock. Currently though, no orange.

An easy opening on the PM2 is the finger flick. Hold the knife by cupping it spine up, grasping both sides (with fingers clearing the blade of course) and place the tip of your pointing finger, your index finger, in the hole.

Then quickly extend the finger and voila! Flicks open like a charm. Videos on Youtube, also.

Nice knife. You'll probably end up loving it. Opens and closes one handed very easily, which is very handy.

Thanks for the replies, knife should be here Friday.

Nvm I'll I'll start new thread
