Just Purchased The Cold Steel 4 Max

Hey fellow knife enthusiasts. I decided to give Cold Steel another chance after the Golden Eye fiasco. I just ordered the 4 Max from Knife Works and can't wait to get it. Does anyone have any experience with this particular knife? I know there were some fit and finish issues, but I am hoping to get a good one. What do some of you 4 Max owners think of the knife?
 
I enquired several months back about the 4 max with knife works. At that time their stock had the proud lock bar issue.
You can ask them to check for you.
Or if you have a problem with it, contact cold steel. They've been very good about the warranty work with the 4 max.

Thanks for the heads up. I just emailed Roger from Knifeworks inquiring about some of the issues. It is a shame that a knife of this price is having issues in the first place.
 
The 4 Max is a great knife. If yours comes with the lockbar issue, contact Cold Steel, and they will provide a shipping label for you to send it to them to be fixed. It's a hassle, certainly. However, the knife is fantastic. Some are more fantastic than others, but it is a great blade.
 
Just placed an order for it today from knifeworks! Didn't contact them ahead of time, though I know the lockbar fit could be an issue. I figure I have several options to fix it, if it comes with any issues.

Actually watched your video on it Jimislash, probably a few minutes ago. Appreciate you taking the time to make the video!

I guess I got lucky so to speak both of mine came from knifecenter with no issues.

It's a big beautiful brawny badass knife.The knife is built for serious hard use for sure!
