Why is it that you punish your subscribers by locking certain sub forums? I mean really there is so much good info on here but the mods are locking a whole sub forum, I understand a thread here and there but a whole sub forum doesn't make sense. If the manufacture is doing something wrong can't you just lock there account or suspend them? Instead your hurting your forum and everybody that is trying to share and learn here. Thanks for listening! Hell of a first post huh!

The Tech Support, General Q&A, Site Feedback & More forum isn't closed, is it? Because that's where this question belongs.

Which forum are you referring to anyway? The only 2 that have been closed recently are ESEE and DPx. ESEE was closed because they've opened their own forum on their own website. DPx was closed because the owner of DPx, RYP went completely apeshit bonkers, threatened one member and posted personal and professional information of another's and his wife with hopes that his fanboys would do something nasty. Then he capped it all off with the editing of other peoples' posts that he disagreed with. His conduct was rightfully deemed completely unbecoming of and contrary to the principles of Bladeforums and its owner, Spark, so his forum was locked down (and the edited posts restored) so BFC wouldn't be associated with that shitbag and to show that such behavior isn't tolerated here, especially by a moderator.

In either case, all the information is still there. RYP/DPx has their own forum (google it), and ESEE just opened their new one. You are of course still free to discuss their products in the appropriate forums (General, Reviews, Maintenance, etc), or the use of them (Wilderness and Survival, Practical Tactical). Just because they no longer have their own forum here that doesn't mean that discussion of their products is forbidden.

Anyway, welcome to bladeforums. Just don't wait 3 years between posts.:)

Thank you for clearing that up, I'm sorry if I came across as a d!ck. I wanted to post on an existing thread in the ESEE subforum and couldn't. The post that locked the forum didn't give that much info. Thanks again and sorry a bout my rant.

The ESEE forum was not closed because of the forums that they started but due to some moderation issues that were not resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.

I think one thread full of rumor, high drama and innuendo will suffice. Let's just shut this one down...Most of the pertinent and salient details can be found in the other thread if one looks past all the misinformation.
