Last week I grabbed from the 2/2 specials the Chainpuri by Purna. It is truly gorgeous! It is 16.5", 22 ounces with Chiruwa style horn handle. Those are the details. What is hard to describe is the feeling in my hand. This Chainpuri feels amazing in my hand - as if it were made for me! In addition, the balance is incredible!! The artistic flourishes on the blade are quite nice and unique as well. In case you haven't figured out yet, I Really Love This Khukuri!! I look forward to buying more of Purna's creations in the future!!

Also, thanks Yangdu for all your help and advice!!

I also own a Purna Chainpuri, mine is 17.5in 23oz. I totally agree with you about the kukris handling characteristics. It is a pure fighting knife IMHO. I also own a Chainpuri sold here on the forum but it has no kami marks. I guess HI hand picks them in the Chainpuri district in Nepal.

The Purna HI Chainpuri blows the other one out of the water. My Purna has a horn handle that feels like glass. It's so smooth and well polished just like the blade. Purna out did himself on mine and I am sure yours is the same.

I will be posting pics of the Purna Dui Chirra and Purna Chainpuri once I have time to take proper pictures to do the kukris justice.

I'm glad you like the Chainpuri. They are nice khuks and I agree with you about feeling great in the hand.

not sure if HI ever made one with that many? I have seen dharan kami make some with more chirra though ( which HI also sells from time to time)

Chitlangi is pretty dang close and one of the coolest looking in their lineup. Might be a consideration?
