I absolutely love it. I have a sprint PM2 and a Sage 1, was in the market for a titanium framelock Spydie and I wanted to switch it up. This is why I chose the techno over the Sage 2.

The second I opened up the box I knew I would love this knife. It just feels amazing in the hand. The stonewashed finish is terrific. I have about a 3.5 finger grip on it with my pinky at the very end. I think a simple paracord lanyard will do the trick to make this a full 4 finger grip. At first I could not flick this open easily. But after 5-6 tries I realized that you need to flick out to the side more than usual. Usually just flick straight up with my thumb. The lack of middle finger flicking is ok because the action I get from flicking with my thumb is awesome. So smooth.

Yes, the blade isn't as big as a lot of people would like, but it can definitely handle any EDC need I might throw its' way. It feels like a super sturdy knife in hand. Could not be happier with my purchase and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone on the fence.:cool:

Just got me one too. Very stout little folder. The wide handles really fill out the hand for a knife that small.
I like it more than I expected because its a little smaller than I like to carry.

I really like mine too, I put small lanyard on it and it really improved my grip when using it. With the lanyard on I slip my finger through the loop, it enables to get a four finger grip. The techno is a great knife, one of my favorites.

Is the thickness a deal break or all part of the charm on a Techno? I keep vacillating on what kind of Ti Framelock I want. I work in NYC and to me, even carrying around a small Sebenza is overkill. I picked up a Pinnacle 750 and I just can't get over being enamored with Ti-Framelocks though. It just never gets old. Lmao. I can't seem to like a Ti-Sage over a normal G10 Spydie. The one thing that I haven't been able to get over on paper is the thickness of the techno. How does it feel clipped in the pocket? Is it a non-issue to you and what about someone who normally carries a small traditional because it disappears in the pocket. Does the techno disappear the way a mini-grip or delica does when clipped to your jeans?

I have deep watch pockets, if I only have the Techno it will slip right into the watch pocket and I don't even notice it. its a little thick, but not all that bad. With G10 handles you have 2 slabs of G10 and 2 liners most of the time. They can easily be thicker than the techno which is less than 1/2" thick. If your talking about how wide it is in the pocket, its still not bad as other spydies because ther is not thumb ramp on the blade. Plus the wide handle helps it fill out my hand.

the thickness shouldn't be too much of a deal breaker as the shortness makes up for it and actually feels a lot smaller in hand than say, my sage 1.

The only time I've ever noticed the techno has been on sloppy boulder top outs where I'm beaching my way up. Riding in the pocket I never notice it.

You sound so graceful. I can picture you now, like an elephant seal hauling up onto shore.

Congrats. It's my "unobstrusive small edc with a big blade feel whose only weakness is kryptonite" knife. It is frequently disguised as a mild mannered money clip.

I love my Techno - it is slightly modified;

As you can see, I added a smooth Tan G10 backspacer and I smoothed her bumps and slimmed her 'beak'. Heresy to some - makes her exclusively mine from my perspective...

I got to play with one a couple of months ago. Beautiful knife and built like a tank. I can definitely see the appeal, but it doesn't work for me at all. I would carry a dragonfly over the techno every day of the week. But take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I didn't fall in love with the Gayle Bradley either, and everyone seems to love that one. I do like the fact that I can appreciate the design and build of almost every spyderco. I think the Gayle Bradley and the techno are both spectacular knives. I just like other spydies way better.

Agreed. I have a Techno and it's an interesting specimen. Great at digging, gouging and prying but terrible at actually cutting or slicing. Currently I mix it up between a Sage 3, a Caly 3 SB and a PM2. All of them are more versatile knives. Can't beat the Techno for 'cool' though. I wish they would release a thinner version.

Would any of you guys with the techno mind posting some pictures of the knife as compared to other spydies in your collection, as well as maybe some shots of the knife in hand, I don't have a spyderco dealer close so all my purchases haft to be made online , and I love the techno I would just really like to see how it compares to other knives , and in the hand. It's possibly my next purchase, I'm just afraid it's going to be too small. FWIW my smallest spydie is a dragonfly...Thanks in advance if anyone does this
