Today i received my long awaited ASTK. I must say that the wait was more than well worth it. I should have purchased this a long time ago. However being handmade then it would not have been this blade which fits me perfectly and is everything I have been looking for in a blade. The Karda and Chakmak are very well made, the sheath fits nicely, not too loose and not to tight. There appears to be no shrinkage of the wood handle scales on the Chiruwa tang. Everything is even and the lines flow very nicely. I do not know who the Kami is that made this but he is very skilled at his craft. The blade is not overly heavy actually it is very fluent in the hand. I do not have a scale so I don't know what it actually weighs but it moves very nicely. I have other HI kukris and all have a lighter varnish or finish on the handles, I really like the darker finish the wood compared to my others. This one also has a silver bolster where my others have the bronze colored bolsters and but caps. I have been long searching and for a long time my esee hunglas has been my TEOTWAWKI blade, as has fit the bill but i always felt it was slightly lacking in something. I do not know what even now but always felt so. After seeing, feeling and wielding this blade I still in all honesty don't know what it is but feel that I have found that ultimate blade I have been searching for. This is THAT ONE that called me. This is THE blade I have been searching for and it found me.

Thank you so much Auntie for the opportunity to purchase such unique and totally satisfying functional artwork that we can pass down for generations. You offer true blades that have a soul and actually become a part of oneself. While a Kami thousands of miles away made this blade and has no idea of who I am. I feel whole heartedly that this blade was made for me and only me.

I do not know who the kami is that made this blade but could you please relay the message that his work is greatly appreciated and let him know that the recipient feels as if his blade was a creation of destiny. Thanks to the Kami with deep gratitude.

That's a nice ASTK.

If you post a closeup photo of the left side of the blade near the handle, we can probably tell from the kami mark who made this knife.

I believe that Lachhu Kami has been making all or most of the ASTKs, but the markings can confirm.
