Don't leave us dangling in suspense: which one did you get?

The older man the whole year through has never once forgot.

I picked up the 18th century model. something about it just caught my eye.

Ooooh - nice, light for it's size.

Now you can better understand my earlier comment about deciding *which* HI khukuri is like deciding between blonde, brunette, redhead, or raven tressed beauties. The answer is (e): All the above.

Welcome, Rob. The 18th Century model is among my favorite. In fact, my 18th Century is my primary "working" khuk, the one I use most often around the yard. There's just something very special about the 18th Cent., as you're finding out. And don't worry about "beating" it too much. I guarantee you that it'll withstand anything you can dish out. And the funny thing about khuks is that the more you use them, the more character they develop and the more attached you get to them.

What? 18th C Model? I love that model! 18th C Model is one of the forward curved model - I guess it is weighted about 1.75 to 2 lbs - a sleek blade for 18 to 19" OAL! Every time I unsheated this 18th C Model I feel like I am an ancient Gorkha warrior! - must be the weakest one because I am not an MA people! LOL!

NEPAL HO!

Congratulations Rob! and Welcome!!!

I don't have the 18th cen., but I've been eyeing it for sometime. Glad to hear you like it.

Getting the first khukuri, then the sun shines into your eye, you get the shine in your hand, then you'll see the beauty of the moon... and then? You may find a nice blonde.

No vaccine for ever-mutating HIKV yet.

Mizutani-san.
... a nice blonde ...
Is there any blonde in Japan? We don't have blonde in Malaysia ... but we have albino!

BTW - sometimes, I think it is better to own a junk as the 1st one - the moment you get the real thing you'll experience a real appreciation and joy!

NEPAL HO!

So buy the wife a blonde wig - along with an outfit for strictly private viewing. On second thought, make that one in each basic hair color.

Sheesh, one little heart attack and you forget your priorities, Uncle Bill?

I have no particular favor in blonde... it came just on the first in Rusty's priority.

BTW, there've been recently highschool girls hair dye in fake blonde color. Friends overseas come to Tokyo and see them and just sighs of grief missing their ex- raven tress after much of everyday abuse that sometimes weakens hair so much that the hair becomes like a rubber thread.
