..It looks so good, but boy, its pretty heavy and bulky for pocketing...

i get used to just EDC a 2 layer saks, the most thick one is an explorer... so it seams not to easy to change to swisschamp... to be honest, sometime a little classic is good enough in light duty cutting needs...

i dont mind if its not suitable for EDC since its so collectable for me to complement my SAKs selections...

still, for price performance, size and weight ratio, the swiss champ is really a CHAMP!

any body actually EDC and like swiss champ? someone in this forum is resposible for this after he showed me his nice camo champ! yes, you know who you are! hehehe

thanks guys...

Not me, but for years a Swisschamp was the only SAK I owned, carried daily in a belt pouch or by belt hanger into RF pocket. It was so much a part of my everyday kit I hardly noticed it on me until needed for something. During that time, every blade and implement got worked except for the backspring mounted small screwdriver. These days I prefer a Leatherman Charge for EDC, but the Champ still gets some use and is always aboard when I travel. In fact, I just returned from a 10 day visit to New Mexico where that was the only knife/multitool brought for the trip. It was like old times. :)

EDC a Champ as well--carry it in a Victorinox black basketweave leather sheath with sharpening steel--

thanks guys... at least if its abit bulky for EDC, it would still be usefull when i plan to go traveling...

do you guys have a back up champ on your drawer or home?

i keep a champ and swiss tool in each glove box and in our emergency kit at the house. keep champ plus (gives up pliers) and swiss spirit in my hiking backpack.

i just keep an eye out for deals on em and grab em when i find em so have a "couple" backups

my regular carry may change among folder/fixed knives but generally they are always in addition to a champ

I have edc'd a black scaled swiss champ for about a year and a half now.I carry mine in an expandable sheath with a clip.I clip it onto my belt or if I don't feel like wearing a belt, just clip onto my pocket.
my backup is a stay glo craftsman

I carried a swisschamp everyday in a belt pouch for a couple of years until it got stolen from my house.

Ha! Was it this one? Glad to be of service!
