As I was finishing it I found that feel and balance was just right,
wish that would happen more often. 11"blade, 5160, brass guard,
Osage Orange spacer Sambar stag handle. I found a Buddy that was good at leather work so he made the sheath. Gib

Gib that's awesome! The business end of that blade is something special wicked, and topped of with that beautiful grinding. You sure know how to make a man drool.

Well I just had to come back and say what a fantastic blade that is, one of the coolest, meanest-looking blades I've seen in a long time. It just has "business" written all over it. I love seeing knives like that.

Edited to add: And I really like the way you make your choil, the long straight angle. Where most most of us would go to great lengths to create a unique spanish notch or do some fancy filework, you turned the whole thing on its ear with simple elegance.

This is what makes it worth getting up every day for, the world is a fantastic place to make such things possible. Dig it!

Thanks,
Dave
