Just saw an amazing film...

I had a nice shower after a bike with my Captain this afternoon and then decided to attend a film at the local theatre. I went alone, something I do often, as a treat to myself pretty much... I went to see the film "Flyboys." I have to say this about the film.. It is one of my all time favorite films. I was very impressed with the acting as well as the plot and the dog-fight scenes were the best I have seen on film... EVER! The special effects were stellar. The story had great action to it, a wonderous plot, and even a little romance. My girlfriend didnt want to see it when we went to the theatre a few weeks back and now I can say I will be taking her back to see this one!!!! Great story. Phenomenal movie! I suggest all war movie buffs to see this one. I will own it when it comes out on DVD.
 
Good catch, Chuck. I had a chcuckle at that as well. I guess things have changed in the military since I was in. :)
 
I went bowling with the Captain, but i wouldn't say he was "my" Captain. Girlfriends like to go to "make-out movies". Flyboys is a guy movie and if she wants to get into it then... I took mine to the Eastwood Bounty Hunter flicks and missed a lot... of the movie.
 
I have only seen the trailer, and being an old air combat buff my immediate reaction was that the flight characteristics of the aircraft were wildly beyond anything that flew in WWI.
Might have been just that scene, though.
