I just wanted to vent, explain, etc.. No call for drama or anything, other than clarify in a place I have friends and acquaintances I respect and appreciate.
So, if you notice any INFI of mine around in other people possession that I have said I would never part with, just know that it is better to never say "never". I appreciate all the help and comradery I have had here and I would never get rid of anything I was assisted in attaining without need. I am liquidating what small amount of cutlery I have to cover medical costs. I am in need of ongoing care and am looking to change careers while nearing 50 years old.
This is not a call to try to sell, nor get well wishes and such. I just felt that some of the folks here deserved to know that I would not rid myself of the items that have tied me in to this group without absolute necessity.
All right. 'Nuf of the touchy feely stuff. "Let's Drink!"
 
Hey my friend, I've done the same more times than I'd care to admit. I was simply very happy to have things that other people want. Paid off our little car, repairs on my truck (ongoing btw, darn hooptie :p ) and other unexpected needs.

They're solid assets that are relatively easy to liquify.

It helps to convince yourself "they're simply steel tools, not objects d'art"

I have a skeleton crew left myself, and about to let go of more, I see it like this: I feel blessed in having had some really nice knives, but to let someone else enjoy them as well is a very good thing and a very good feeling. :D especially good when I can undercut those price gouging flippers. :)
 
Been There Brother Done That....Childrens education elderly parental care they do come before luxuries and passing along those items to another is indeed a good feeling....:thumbup:

Do what you have to--even if you sell 'em all, you're still one of us. :thumbup:
 
Being a true Hog is like being a Knight it was never the armour(INFI) it was always the heart. I dearly hope your presence here will not diminish.
I know you and I have not really had any dealings but you are one of the people who make this place what it is.
 
Thank you everybody! I will be around, although I hate not being a paying member after years of being otherwise. I will be keeping my BOSS Jack, especially since I don't think anybody wants a blade with "mymindisamob" etched on it. Again, Thank You for the feedback.
 
Sorry to hear about all that is going on. Hopefully better time's are not to far around the corner. Something will kick in, it alway's does. Be thankful for what you have, it could be worse.lol
 
Oh it has. I remember well where I come from. Not meaning to come across whining. I am blessed in many ways.
 
Like others have already said, you are welcome here whether you have one knife or hundreds. Its the man that you are that makes you one of us, not the number of knives.

I'm down to one piece of infi, and one swamprat. I sold most to move into customs, but the tax man had different ideas. Really, I should say, my incompetent tax g I you said "oops, how did I miss that?" More than once.
 
I just gotta say, this place is full of amazing folks. I only wanted to say what I've said so I don't appear as an ungrateful lech when knives that were beyond special appear in other people's possession. I am not trying to get any financial help or anything. I have a job and medical insurance. Things just got out of control with my health and the cost. It will be just fine, and I will still be around to spew my nonsense. Thanks to another awesome forumite, I will be doing it in Gold for a year. Much love folks. You are
 
Threads like this and the camaraderie shared is why I'm proud to be a Hog in training (or maybe a piglet in training). Either way, best of luck to you mymindisamob. I hope everything works out for the best-
