Just saying hi! First becker content

Hey guys I'm relatively new to the forums and just wanted to pop in and say hi and share my first becker and maybe you will let me in this exclusive club: ). I had to go for "the king" first the big bad bk9. Of course I can't leave anything alone so I stripped the finish and forced a patina, next I convexed the edge and wrapped the handles in some gutted cord and made alittle hand guard/ dangler. I'm looking to pick up some micarta scales and play around with dyeing them. This thing really is a light saber even before I convexed it. I really like the sheath it came with but will wprk on making my own custom kydex. Let's see what becker joins the stable next

So what your saying is basically I need one of each 1-24: D I agree I do.

I was going to get the bk4 but I thibk I'm going to wait for the new model to come out

Thanks every one. Hey how about every one post up their 9! Modded or stock I'd love to get more ideas. What's the general consensus on the thumb ramp? I kinda like how it feels if I'm doing close up work but everyone seems to remove theirs
 
Welcome! Nice first Becker and nice mods. The Nine is a must have for sure. Now you need a BK-16!
 
Yea the 11 is great. It was my Second Becker and I have carried it almost every day since I got it. That was almost three years years ago.
 
Welcome in brother. I'm still working on getting a 9 to match my 7,2. but my b-day is coming up. And the girlfriend asked me if the nine was the other one I wanted. (fingers crossed) And more will follow your nine as well.

Nice. I would recommend some stainless steel hardware. Just bring the stock ones to the hardware store and match. Locktite for sure then try and beat em out :) nice looking nine. Handle the bk11 and compare to the bk14. Both great but I find the 14 handle more comfortable. 9 and 11 a great duo. But soon you'll want a 16 and then realize that every Becker fan needs a 2. Lol. It doesn't end.

Thank you Mr. Becker. I really like your blade so far but now I'm stuck deciding between the 11 and the 14. One of them is getting ordered today!


For the patina I dabbed Sriracha on with a cotton ball, letting it sit for 20-30 mins. Next was some free hand dribbling of French s mustard for the same amount of time. Lastly I kept wiping some Apple cider vinegar to darken the over all appearance
