I just recieved a Dozier folding knife with Aluminum Handle and Ti liner lock with a 3" blade for $200. I'm wondering why I got the knife so cheap. I have never seen one under $500. It's marked 1998 Dozier on one side and D2 on the other plus it's has the same shape almost every other folding Dozier I've seen. It has a couple dings but nothing serious and it appears to have been carried but never used. My question is did I just get a super score or is this a undesirable model? I contacted Dozier Knives and they informed me it's genuine. Sorry for not posting pics I'm on a iPhone. Oh and did I mention it only weighs 2.25oz?

Your folder is a counterfeit. There has been scores of these models sold on auction forums recently. And I' ll bet yours is without a pocket clip. That is the tell tale sign. Forward the knife to me and I will authenticate it for you with Bobs input. If it is fake I will send it strait back to you. If it is in fact genuine, I will dispose of it for you. And will mail you $200 to calm your upset equilibrium. :D
