and MAN i am very excited. i am growing quite a collection now. i am starting to get into the fixed blade series knives. i have a NIB Shadow III and will be getting a Sable III very soon!! i have heard that the Sable series are some of the better fixed useres, but seem to get short shrift. so now i have:

Mayo'd small sebenza classic
#127 First production Mnandi
2001 "stripes" Umfaan
Shadow III
and now a Sable III !!!

i guess once one sees what the value and quality is that u get from CRK, you just don't bother with anything else. thanks CRK and crew :D

well, i got the Sable II today. i bet this is the single most Underrated CRK fixed blade out there. heck, i don't even see it on their site, but the card says DOB of 2004! the blade shape is very similar to the classic sebbie. this thing is fantastic!! seems to be a real working knife and the sheath (with the clip) is fantastic!!! i think i will have my Shadow III for sale for a VERY reasonable price. i know this is not the FS forum, but if anyone is interested in a NIB unused Shadow III (with a _slight_ mark on the sheath, PM me or email me.

Nice knife, the Sable's are one of the cleanest made out there I think, it has a nice soft curve that reminds me more of traditional japanese tanto style blade, although it's quite modern in make up of course ;)

At one time I owned a 12" bladed version, what a whopper that was! She moved to StJames' house but I think she's moved on since then, one of 13 in the 12" size blades made, Chris made a very limited run of that size blade!

Gary, I've got a 12" Sable hanging off the edge of my computer desk, number 8 of 13, where I can reach out and use it to discourage anyone from disturbing me while I'm online! :D

It is actually a 12.5" blade, 18" overall. Scary! It's amazing how balanced and graceful such a big knife can be.

I also have a Sable III. Vactor, I find the III has a relatively slimmer blade than the other Sables, and it is my primary kitchen knife. It is very much like a fixed blade Sebenza.

My other CRK one-piece is a 5.5" Al Mar/CRK collaboration -- basically a Sable IV with an upper guard, serrations, and a penetrator tip. The sheath is modified also.
