I've always felt my Vex is THE perfect hunting knife. Small, good ergos, and it holds a edge for a long time. A good gut hook is worth its weight in gold when field dressing deer and when I found this one (benchmade bone collector) it seemed perfect.

The sheath had a built in elastic loop that seemed perfect for pairing with another knife. I tried it on the Vex, and my SAR6.

 Whatchyu talkin' about Willis? :p Yup, guilty as charged, :foot: that mistress was a ton of fun though and at least now you don't feel bad about using it, I hope. :o She did clean up well.

Nice!

I need to get a little handy gut hook like that.

I just don't like the look of a gut hook in a knife, so that is a great solution.

The only deer I cleaned, there was no gut hook handy, so just did it the old fashioned way.

Its comfortable. It has better control than some of the two finger models you typically see. It is just a gut hook though so being thin and lacking scales isn't a big deal.
