I went fishing yesterday for about an hour and a half and caught these.

I got home today and fished for about 45 minutes and got these.

All of those fish came out of this lake, that I live on. I believe I found my old honey-hole from last year.

All of the fish are in the freezer and I will slowly but surely be catching more as the Summer goes on and have a big fish fry at the end.

That depend of the way they are cooked . In my oppinion the sun fish has too many small bones compared to other fishes this size .

I live on the border of North Dakota/Minnesota where walleye are king... I would rather have a bluegill fry any day of the week over walleye or crappie. Especially if you get them through the ice. Sunfish are extremely delicious skin on or off.

Sunfish......are they tasty?
Most definitely. I'm used to them fried, but I'm thinking about grilling these.

This lake used to have plenty of Walleye, but everyone on the lake had to have one , so they're virtually gone. The local party store owner is trying to raise enough money to re-stock the lake with them.

Love fishing perch as a kid in Saskachewan, mostly fished for walleye but when one of us hooked into a perch we would gear down and nail the school.
We always ate them scaled and finned fried in butter......love the skin.

When we moved to Vancouver at 12 and did not understand trout fishing too well.
There was a local lake that had crappie and used to catch a ton of them, once and a while a cutthroat or rainbow and then trout fever began and we stopped going for crappie.

We mostly have rainbow, lake char, and salmon around here.
I did have walleye once and it was darn good!

I enjoy catching bluegills more than most any other fish! I got 22 last night on the way home at a local lake...Fun!!!
