Mostly I make leather sheaths just for the knives I make , but from time to time I am willing to do some for others and there are a few makers whom I make sheaths for whenever they need them.

All are 9-10oz , hand stitched ( 2 needle saddle stitch ) using Barbour's 5 strand sinew.
One is dyed a deep burgundy with black on the edges , the other is a med tan with black on the edges.

Finished these two up today for a couple of fixed blades I made:

Havent stepped into anything fancy yet , just trying to nail the basics first.
Did this one early this year.

This was all done for one customer , one folder is a Nihiser , the other a Hossom Ontario folder . ( the mag pouch was for myself for concealed carry ).

Nice to see a thread showing so much of your talent John!
Very well done, as are the knives too, if I can just get you to
stop putting the notch on them you'll do ok ;)

I will stop doing the notch , when you do more fixed blade sheaths ;)

I am working on some without the " G2~Notch " :)

That little notch does making putting the edge on there much easier , I just prefer the notch vs having a dull 1/4" of blade at the plunge cuts.

hehe, well, I guess I'll just hafta wait,
but, I'd rather a short section dull than a
short section that catches and holds up the
knife during the cutting, but, that's an old argument
and I'll most likely bring it up again ;) you know me :)

but seriously, nice work, the sheaths look exceptionally
cleanly done! nice stitching and edging too!

there we go john... nice to see some more of your leatherwork man... your sheaths are bomber...:) like your knives...

Great looking leather, nice lines and I love the edging. Do they have belt loops or are they pocket sheaths? Your knives look good to me. Please show some more.

Cazio

Thanks.

Cazio:
All have belt loops. The majority of my pictures are on the PC with the burned motherboard , will post more when I get " ol smokey" back up and running.

I really like the clean look of your sheath work. I prefer the plain old sheath for my knives.

This is the first time I have seen your work, and I have to say that it is exactly the kind of leather I like to carry my knives in. Great stuff Mr. Wylie.
