Just something I noted on DAK prices

I regularly visit a Dutch trading site to see if there are nice SAK's or other knives. The last few weeks I noticed that the prices of DAKs (Dutch Army Knives), especially the alox ones that were made by Victorinox in the 80s and 90s, are rising spectacularly. About a year ago I bought a number of them, for about 10 euros on average. Now I see people willing to pay 60 euros (circa 77 USD) for them! I never thought of multitools/SAK as investment objects. :)

In times of economic jitters, almost anything can become a candidate for "investment." To people looking for a hedge against inflation, collectables are a time honored means. SAKs are certainly in contention. Vic products are well made, there are many varieties, some dated, and they can be purchased cheaply (for now ). Actually, I have a few in my "collection." Surely they will increase in value. Or not. ;)

in my opinion the good things about collecting SAKs are becouse they're relatively affordable, require less space, almost maintenance free, very enjoyable (oke i admitted... addicting!)... and the value would always keep on rising (wont sell mine though... and the rising isnt always significant)
