Just spotted some Schrades at Kmart..kinda

I was walking around Kmart when I stumbled upon the sporting goods section. I was browsing the knife display case when I saw the familiar shape of the Sharpfinger in front of me. But it turns out that was actually an Outdoor Life package, marketed by United Cutlery, and handmade in China. They had a few more designs, including some of the X-Timers. Needless to say, I was too disappointed to want to buy any of them.

Yep, you have to be careful. The OldTimers are now being imported from China (dispite the American flag on the packaging) by Taylor cutlery. Rigid also has a line of OldTimer knock-offs.

And it's not just the 'new' Schrades you have to watch. Chicago Cutlery is now from China. Some Buck knives are being imported from China for sale at WalMart.

Not to worry, look on-line and your find that Camillus Cutlery is making the Sharpfinger and it cuts better than the Schrade did. Same price $25, great knife!

I have the new Camillus Sharpfinger and love it!
