Just Starting Out

Hello Everyone!
I'm just beginning to try my hand at knifemaking. I'd like to try and hand forge one. Could any of you recommend any good beginners books or articles? Also I'm still looking for a Parang pattern like the one used on the first "Survivor" series on CBS. Thanks in advance for the help. It is GREAT to be a member of BladeForums!!!!!!!
