...that I paypal-ed you 400$ today, and it had to be spent on a folder. What would you buy and why? Suppose (if you're into Hinderer) that you could get direct pricing on an XM, and there are no shipping expenses. Slightly over 400$ (sebbies) is cool too.

I'd probably pick up an SJ75 if I could find one...I've been dying to get my hands on one and want to see how it compares to the PT, the only Strider I've got experience with.

I don't know. Let's try it and see. My PayPal address is the same as my e-mail address in my profile.

I'd have Ray Laconico make me a Nutria for the same reason RevDevil stated. I don't have a Laconico yet and he makes one hell of a fine product. And I want one . . .

There's another plainish ti framelock in this price range but I can't remember the name of it...I know its a mid tech knife designed and put out by a custom designer. Anyone got the name?

One Ray Laconico or two Ron Flahertys' frame locks...both on my must have short list.

Ray Laconico frame lock. Why? Because I don't have one. ;)

Even though I just took possession of my 2nd Laconico (a custom Workman to go along with my EDC Slim framelock), my choice would be yet another Laconico. They are that good. If I was told I had to give up all my knives but one, I'd hang on to either of Ray's pieces no question, even over my Hinderer XMs and CRKs.

Cold Steel Black Sable - really love the design and never have that much money to blow on a folder, top bid going on one right now is $315

Any of the new ZTs coming out. Preferably the new 0560CBCF. If I had to use it ASAP, I would try to find a Demko AD-10 and pay the difference.

I'd like A Ray Laconico Nutria.....most of his folders are smaller than I'd carry or use. The Nutria is a little on the big side but I really like big folders.

I do believe there's a Holley Wharncliffe Whittler out there that sold for about $400.

If that one wasn't available (it's a twin to the one my grandparents gave me), then I'd look to score the Case XX equivalent, their Classic Whittler (differs from their Seahorse, in that it has two pen blades and no coping blade).

For $400, I'm pretty sure I could get that done.

I would get a Hinderer XM-24. :p
Cba to look up what the direct pricing is on those.
Blues scales please.

I don't want a big heavy knife. I'd settle for a Titanium fluted Military in S90V from Spyderco.

Oh, hurrah for me; finally hit 500 posts. Time to rest a bit. At least, my 500th post is a big winner in terms of my choice of folders. :)
