Just suppose ya found $200, and ya didn't have anyway of placing an owner to it,:D, and nobody knew ya had it what knife would ya buy, or would ya save it and add to it to buy a custom, and if so, what custom, by who?

Well, congrats on your "hypothetical" $200! ;) :D

I would put it towards my credit card bill, (which is 0%, but still needs paying off!) and then I would feel less guilty about the new Extrema Ratio I have coming to me!!! :D

Well I should do the same as drjones, god knows the cc company would love to see some money for me. Unfortunately my addiction would win and I would put it towards a newly discovered gorgeous Brend fixed blade that I want oh so badly :D

if i had 200 dollars right now, i would buy a microtech automatic. I have had my eyes on getting either an LUDT, an LCC, or an Amphibian. One knife you could get for less than 200 that has a spot in my heart is the Emerson Commander.

By the way, i noticed your icon is the Grateful Dead dancing bears. I happen to have 20 brand new unworn Jerry Garcia silk ties that were designed by Jerry that i am looking to sell or trade. Would you be interested in these? i am not looking for much for them and they are very beautiful ties. Email me at fourtyounces2freedum@yahoo.com.

Actually that is an easy one. Delta-Z Darrel Ralph Osprey, Anodized Bolster with Red Maple Burl Scales, Teflon Plain Blade. About $159.95 plus $20.00 shipping. The remaining twenty-spot buys my lovely spouse and I a nice meal at the new Indian restaurant in town.

Now you might wonder how I happen to know exactly what I would do if I found an extra two hundred lying around... all I can say is :D:D:D.

Two words: Mike Snody.

Of course I'd have to add to the $200, but hey, it would be a good start.

Benchmade.... I'm a poor ol student who doesn't even have a BM yet!

I think I might buy one of those Battle Rat thingies I've been hearing so much about.

I think I would put them aside for the new version Camillus Fisk OVB.

Or maybe if I could not wait, I would get a Seki Cut Ken Nata Machete with 10" Takefu Shirogami Sanmai blade for $199.99, which is pretty close to $200.

I'd do one of three things, order a Dozier fixed blade, put it towards a neck-knife by Hossom or save it up for a custom folder (not really sure what i'm after as far as this goes). :)

That's easy for me. I would add it to my savings for one of those small knives with the hole that A.T. Barr makes. Ncblades has a picture of one over in the Gallery. It's always hard for me to save up for something. Little or no willpower.

I'd put it together with some cash I already have saved up, and buy a MicroTech UT6 with Satin finished blade. (not the double edge, or the Tanto :barf: )

Or, I might buy my wife a dozen red roses:rolleyes:, and get a MT Vector instead.:D

I think I would go to Mexico and buy me a......UH, Oh yeah, you said what knife? I would probably put that $200.00 on a DOZIER.

I would just take the two hundred bucks in cash and hand it to my wife, "Here, honey, you deserve this."

In a month when I bought a FOUR HUNDRED dollar knife she's apt to say, "That's okay, honey, you deserve it."

Listen to your elders, kids. You (gasp) too will one day be married!
