Anybody been using their Tennessee River Trapper? I like mine alot. The SCHRADE+ holds it's edge better than I thought it would and it is a really nice looking knife. It is the only bone handled knife that I have.
Mostly just wanted to say hi to all my friends on the SCHRADE forum. I am a little worried about this place drying up and going away. Jim

Grateful,
We are all still here. Just being busy I guess. I spent the weekend in York Maine at my youngest daughters soccer tourney. In between games we had time to get food and visit the thousands of gift and antique shops that litter the local highway (Rt 1A). I just happened to find a old Schrade 108OT that was on sale for 8.00. How could I pass it up. Of course my wife liked the old clay fired flower pot that was about 1300.00. Thankfully she did pass it up.
Anyways the 108 has not been used and is almost mint.
What does this have to do with your question about the TRT? Nothing except to say hello.
Hope you have a great rest of the weekend.
Larry.

P.S. The tourney record was 1-3. Weather was great for the 1st time in 4 years. Clam Chowda served at the games was excellent.

My daughters last game till spring was saturday. Congrats on the find. That's like finding a little gold nugget these days. By the way I love clam chowda. Thanks for the reply. Jim

For some strange reason I also have only one bone handled knife, a copperhead made in Japan, not badly made but a bit soft on the steel, it´s an oldie and I didn´t know it´s origin until I saw the faint marking on the blade (which has since worn off). I do have my share of stag and wood handled knives though, including Schrades of course.

Clam Chowder, interesting, if you ever come to Mexico city, you could go to the local baseball stadium (AAA league) to see the Diablos Rojos (Red Devils) and try the famous Cochinita (Spicy pork) Tacos served during the games.

Now that sounds gooooooood, Luis.

I grew up in L.A.......We used to get the hot sauce from the kitchen and "Build" a chip for the person on the left.....first one to go for the water, paid the tab. As I got older, I learned to appreciate a good chile instead of a vinegary, hot chile. But it was fun at the time. :D

I miss nice bone handled Schrade knives, Manuel's Special Burrito, and the pretty Mexican girls in L.A.......but that's life, I guess.

Here's hoping we keep this forum alive.

Everything comes to an end perhapes Schrades forum is at that point. As long as there is an interest perhapes it should continue either way like most things it really is no big deal. Schrade has closed its doors how smart can someone like myself be, to keep beating a dead horse. Oh well I sure have met some dandy people during the run, and until the last card is played deal me in. LT PS Another example of one of my upbeat optimistic happy postings.

Cochinita (Spicy pork) Tacos sound great.
They would sure make for an interesting 7th inning stretch if served around here. Ketchup is about as spicy as a N.E.er can go. If the Red Sox make it to the World Series this year its just possible that the Cochinta's will make it to the menu and about as likely! Hmmm.. anything is possible, look at the Patriots.

We're all still here, Grateful. Schrade, like past knife names from the Walden area, will live on and on and on. I sorta expect this forum will be in for a long run as well, as we have several people here intent on keeping the name alive, the info flowing. I also think we are the friendliest forum here at BFC and no doubt there will be other members to take our places as we leave.

Now on to the important thing... Is it true that Playboy magazine will have a special edition this spring featuring the beautiful maidens of Ellenville?

Phil

As long as ebay keeps providing me with schrades to fill my knife rolls with, I'll be here.

Oh, and as long as I have socks to spare.....

Well I do hope that we can keep this forum alive evne though the company is deceased.
I just picked up a OT 194 brand new for a good price.......been buying up Schrades here in Canada.....whenever I see'em if I needem'....
Looking over my UH's and OT's always makes me happpy because they always seem to have that "snap" and great fit anf finish for the money! :D
So I keep collecting and hopefully we can keep typing and exchanging info and bs and ideas as we see fit......
You are a great group on the Schrade forum and I have appreciated the warm welcome and all the great info........
Here's to many more in the future.... .....LONG LIVE THE SCHRADE FORUM!

"Mooseheads" all around, eh!!!!!!!

Well, what would anybody expect in a knife forum? :D

Hope everybody has a good week. And I hope anybody fortunate enough to attend the auction, will give us a report afterwards.

UH Huh Pilgrim kicking ass and taking names. Frankly if my gut feeling is true it is already a done deal but, But it ought to be a dandy, of a show. I kind of feel like the deck is stacked but, if you know what you are up against sometimes you can come out ok even in a game like that. I believe whatever I bring to the table I will still be short stacked but I will sure have enough to piss off a few big wheels used to picking up stuff for a song with deep pockets and a bullys mentality. Besides any fight is better than no fight whatever the odds. LT PS Mooseheads hell, whiskey for the men beer for the horses. ( As Willie Nelson would say ).

OK, LT.....

If "Mooseheads are too wimpy for youse guys :) .......knock down your favorite (Crown Royal?) and bring us Parker's head on a Schrade......just kidding, of course.....sorta.

I hope someone like you gets a big piece of the pie.....we're certainly rooting for you. You would make it fun and interesting, I'm very sure.

Good Luck,

Bill

I have two of those trappers, and haven't used either one of them yet. Too many other knives to use, I suppose I'll just keep-em nice!

As long as Spark keeps the Schrade forum open, I'll post here!
