Thanks man, glad you enjoyed them. Yeah, Dale at The-Knife-Connection had custom after-market ESEE scales made for some of the knives. He outdid himself on the scales for the ESEE- 5/6.

A thread on it here

Dales has several colors to choose from, I'm seriously considering the camo.

I knew about the after-market handles for the 3 and 4's but not the 6 or 5! Wow, your knife looks loads nicer to me. The original handles always looked huge to me. Nice!

Yeah, he just started having these in stock. They make a heck of a difference in how the knife feels and handles. The only way it could get any better from here would be for Andy to put a handle on it. The ergos on these scales are well worth the cost to me. It gives me a handle somewhere near as comfortable as one of Andy's or Dylan's on a knife I use for rough work. I use the ESEEs and TOPS for classes and for experiments. I don't mind working my Fiddlebacks in the field, but I can't bring myself to put them through the abuse of my classes or my studies.

Dale says he is going to start rounding the 3 and 4 scales a little more after these. I have the aftermarket scales on a 4 and Izula (the Izula scales are really sweet too by the way), and now on this 6. The 4 scales are nice and really improve the knife's feel and handling, but they have nothing on the scales for the 5/6

Yeah, I thought the 3-4's after-markets looked a little blocky and not as well proportioned to the knife like yours on the 6.

You have me thinking the 6 looks like a winner! Reminds me of a Swamp Rat RMD...

They are a little more blocky than these...for now. With all of the positive feedback Dale has gotten on these he is going to round the next batch more. The contours and added length still make a heck of a difference in how the knife feels. I doubt I'll put them on the 3 because half the reason of carrying it is to be a little discrete, but I like the 4 a whole lot better with them than I did before. I may found these over a little myself.
