I've had my XM-18's for a few weeks now, and I'm very impressed with the knives themselves. However, there is something more to these knives.....a personality, so to speak. These knives want to be used. I don't know how well the other finishes hold up, but the stonewashed finish is fantastic. The ergos are the best, edge holds up well, solid as a rock, and just begging "put me in Coach!"

I was doing a little remodel work today, and was already well into the job before I realized what I was doing. Most other knives in this price category are hard for me to use, but from day 1 both of my hinderers jumped into my pockets ready to work. The scales have gotten a little dirty, but the blade and lock side look like the day I took it out of the bag.

By far my most expensive, and beloved, putty knife:

Hats off to Rick, and crew, for some amazing tools!

Wow, nice Hellfire!!!!!!!!!!!(was my first reaction) The old hide the tip in the wall trick.

Nice seeing an XM earn its keep.

Great Tools indeed and the tumbled finish is the "Roller Derby Beauty Queen" of the Knife World - Rough and Tumble but, doesn't show it.

Great picture of a Hinderer being used, good for you!

Rubi you do have a way with words, love the description!

J, I tried to tell you about the Hinderers at Blade, but as you have discovered...personal experience brings better knowledge.

The SW finish on XMs is fantastic at hiding tell-tale signs of use.

I do not own a "Working Finish" but do know that SW/Tumbled just wears like Phyllis Diller's Face.
Not sure if the name "working finish" connotes its wear prowess as well, I'm sure it wears great knowing RHK.

Awesome!!! Love to see a Hinderer put to work! That's what they were made for!

What good is a knife in a safe? I use em all eventually. I havent used my hinderers yet. But I will. Maybe...

I keep a whole slew of tools in my safe....guns, knives, etc. Can't imagine not storing certain tools properly, particularly the ones that are potentially dangerous/valuable.

My tool boxes have locks.;)

Yeah, I hate leaving the house and knowing they aren't tucked safely into my safe. :) I don't have a locking tool box though.

When I bought my "First" safe, my buddy said, " Get a Bigger one, you will be surprised what all you will put in there".
Guess what?
Now, I have two Safes. One (pretty big) One HUGE.
Live and learn.
Yes. When they are not in my pocket or bag - My Hinderers have their Own Shelf in the Huge safe. :)
