I traded my Hanwei Tactical Waki for the Hisshou, and i am very curious to see what those of you who own, or have owned one think of it. Mine's not here yet

I was looking for something smaller than the Waki, since i already have a Swamp Rat Rucki, and my Busse AK47 will be here soon.

I am curious about how sharp the factory edge was, and how well it held up if you ever cut anything with it.

tell me anything you wish someone had said to you before you bought it.

Thanks for your help guys

One bump just to see if anyone missed it. I think maybe it would be better off on the sword forum, but it's not really a sword

I have one. Mine came sharp enough to slice paper. It's functional for what it was intended.......a slasher/stabber. I wouldn't use it for much else........................and probably would never be in a situation or have it near me for stabbing/slashing!! I'm just a long time fan of Japanese inspired tactical fixed blades so I added it to my collection when I had some extra funds.

I've got one. It's probably not a knife you'd take hiking or camping, but if you like martial or self-defence oriented blades it's hard to imagine a better example of the genre at a fairly reasonable price.
