I traded my Hanwei Tactical Waki for the Hisshou, and i am very curious to see what those of you who own, or have owned one think of it. Mine's not here yet

I was looking for something smaller than the Waki, since i already have a Swamp Rat Rucki, and my Busse AK47 will be here soon.

I am curious about how sharp the factory edge was, and how well it held up if you ever cut anything with it.

tell me anything you wish someone had said to you before you bought it.

Thanks for your help guys

The Hisshou is excellent, I have had it for awhile. It will also take a very easy patina if you want a more rustic look. The grip is very, very aggressive and gives a nice grip when slashing. It's more substantial in size, thickness and capability then at first glance.

Well, i got the hisshou today. It wasn't particularly sharp, but the blade profile made stropping it back to receipt slicing sharp.

It's a very interesting blad. I'm not sure exactly where it fits into my gear, but i like it. Seems like you could easily lop an arm off with it

honestly, looking at it in person, it looks like a really aggressive filet knife... the kind you'd use to filet a sand shark carrying an assault rifle

^^ hah!^^^ Got a promo last week on those...price has come down a lot...

How's the balance and feel in hand? Lively and fast or heavy?

I had thought about getting one of these but I'm rather partial to guards on long stabby knives.

I really thought i'd miss it, but the grip is so aggressive that i don't think it's needed. I don't think you could make your hand slip

i put a little polish on the edge of the Hisshou, and this thing is CRAZY sharp now. The kind of sharp that cuts to the bone before you realize you were cut.

i really don't have the slightest clue what i'd use this knife for, but i'm pretty dang glad to have it.

Nice pizza knife.

Let me just clarify that this was not a taunt but what I would plan on doing with the knife. It has a nice belly and would rock nicely on a cutting board.

Blues is welcome to remove this and indeed all the posts I have made in this thread but my first included a link to a review, along with my assessment for possible use. I am not a paying member here, so have at it if you will.

Cheers
