You guys are some talented Knifeaholics. One of these days when I have the money I will want some Mint Green wooden handles. I didn't know how I would ever get them, but now I do. :D

Good idea posting a seperate thread for feedback. I wanted to reply, but didn't want to muck up the great ideas with the usual"I agree" and "You guys are geniuses " junk I usually offer up. Thanks BushOgre, I agree with this thread and you're a genius for posting it!:D

In all seriousness now(if I must), I wondered how stippling was done, I'll be using that soon and the innertube over the grip is stupid-simple. Makes me mad I didn't think of that myself. I'll be referencing the thread a lot!

A lot of guys simply used a soldering iron.

I like the stipling idea for grip, but it seems to me it would create hot spots. Of course, one could always wear gloves I guess. I'm personally not much of a glove person.

Anyone ever tried the grip decals they advertise in gun mags? I wonder if these could be modified to work on stock grivory. I'm thinking of sanding the tan paint off my Crewman grips, then maybe the roughed up grips will hold paint a little better too. Anyone tried this? I know Oregon painted his grips, but not sure if he sanded them first. Eventually I'll probably strip the whole knife and recoat it black.
