So to be 100% clear, putting your knife into and taking it out of it's kydex sheath will inevitably leave scratches, correct?

Yes, it does for all my knives. Am interested to know if someone has a different experience.

KYDEX DOES NOT SCRATCH KNIVES! What scratches knives is the buildup of dust, dirt, and grit over time in almost any sheath that gets carried regularly. Keep your sheath superclean and it will not scratch. That said, the near-impossibility of keeping the interior of the sheath spotless 24/7 means kydex is meant for working knives... I wouldn't recommend you use it to sheath a collector's piece. Hope this helps, if you have more questions I would advise you ask one of our professional kydex benders for more info.

The DLC blade on my ZT 0121 got marked up just from pulling it out of sheath first few days I had it. Still havent used knife but has 4 marks on blade from just pulling it out to look at
