My wife and I have a little friend in her class. His name is Dane. Dane is autistic ( high functioning) and my wife and I have really grown fond of this little boy and his parents. Last month they invited us over to their house for dinner. They are super people.

Two days ago Dane was diagnosed with having a Brain Tumor and my wife and I are pretty devastated. Back in 1996 on of my friends lost his 7 year old to a brain tumor after a five year battle. We are just feeling blue and feel so terrible for Dane and his Mom and Dad and Sister.


Say a quick prayer or smoke or whatever for Dane today my fellow knife Knuts, if you don't mind..

Prayers sent for a recovery for Dane, and for his family. This hits home to me. I went thru the brain tumor thing with my son 3 years ago...9 months of pure hell.

Tell then to keep the faith.
 
Prayers sent for full recovery and peace for the family during this trying time.

My own brother had a brain tumor inside his brain, they used a gamma ray setup and shot harmless rays thru 8 directions gamma rays, then with a computer & mouse where the rays intersected they erased the tumor, the work is being done at UAB in Alabama, it gave him another 6 months, as he had cancer throughout his body, but the brain tumor is not what did him in. It was a complete success. PS: he walked out of the surgery, no after effects.

My wishes go out for the best possible prognosis for Dane. Having five children myself, I know how I would feel if it were ime n Dane's parents position, and I hope that they end up with boy that outlives them.
 
Done. Prayers for Dane and his family so they have the strength and understanding to get through the days ahead.

I'm not a medical doctor, but I would like to remind you that the medical community knows a lot more about all sorts of tumors these days.

That's a version of the 'gamma knife.' Just one of many excellent modern techniques. Solutions are out there.
