i just want to say thanks to ALL the people on bladeforums. i really didnt know much about making knives when i joined the site.ive got priceless advice since ive joined. i used to just buy premade blades before i joined. now i dont have any qualms to jump on a peice of o-1 and grind the crap out of it. i didnt know about heat treating and tempering before. i just thought that you got the steel red hot and quenched it in water.now i feel i have a pretty decent knowledge base. im still working on the experience part. i work second shift so i cant forge when i get home from work,neighbors arent too appreciative of that!:D this is just a post to say thanks to all the forumites out there. YOU GUYS ROCK!

im with mike here, you guys have made a huge difference with me getting into knives, the words of encouragement and support have meant so much to me as well. there is so much wisdom in these pages. its just a privelege to be a small part of this community and if i was a rich man, i would be buying knives from ALL of you, because there is so much in each one of them!

so in conclusion, yea, im with Mike, THANK YOU ALL! :) :thumbup:
 
I'm with Mike and BadKarma -- I'm enjoying the time I'm spending on knifemaking more than any work I've done in years. THANKS!
 
Until finding this site and these guys, I had no clue what was going on. Now I have no clue what is going on, but I know why its going on....and G.I Joe says that knowing is half the battle.
 
well, having the "old guys" around here to answer questions and encourage makes more of a difference than you would ever beleive!
