i have a para 2... manix 2... just sold a domino ... a grip ... a bm 943

this delica spends more time in my pocket on a daily basis... its just a great knife.

and i really love spyderco as a company man... as a resident of portland surrounded by KAI, Benchmade, and Gerber i still have to say spyderco is my personal favorite knifemaker.

hahaha we're in very similar boats. I've got a para 2, manix 2, and domino as well (but I'm keeping mine!) and it's the delica ZDP and my CF chappy that get the most carry time, although the domino comes really, really close. all great knives, but the utility-to-weight ratio of the delica is so hard to beat.

yeah 100% agree with you... the utility to weight ratio really is perfect imo.

I've been using the opportunity to look at other knives, but I think I'm gonna have to get another Delica, nothing else feels quite right. I still need to try the caly too, its zdp variant was laminated with 420 though right? That's a turn off for me, although I'm not entirely sure why...

I've just bought a DF2 ZDP 189 but haven't received it yet .
Will my Sharpmaker with the grey and white stones work for touching up this knife or will I have to use my diamond flat stone freehand ?

just 420 or 420 HC? might be nice to have a stain-resistant layer on the outside, although you'll definitely still have to dry off your cutting edge after use.

Looks like good stuff. My wife has a thing for leather, maybe I'll pick something out.




Also, don't let the clad steel scare you away, it does scratch easily, but looks great with use and character.
